ABOUT ME

Uli Bader

studied cello and arts management in Berlin and Hamburg and supplemented his education with an executive education program in “Exponential Fundraising” at Harvard University in Boston. Various positions in music and event management in Germany, the United States, and Chile have shaped Bader’s versatility; creative and conceptual projects in architecture and urban planning have further expanded his professional scope.

The outstanding task of conceptualizing, constructing, and serving as the founding artistic director of the world’s southernmost opera and concert hall, the Teatro del Lago in Frutillar, Chile, brought him unique experiences and significant international recognition. In 2017, Frutillar was named UNESCO “Creative City of Music.”

He has collaborated with artists such as Yo-Yo Ma, Gergiev, Maazel, Rostropovich, Perlman, Paquito de Rivera, Buena Vista Social Club, Alessandra Ferri, Marcia Haydée, and many others.

Uli Bader has lived and worked in Berlin, Cologne, Bremen, Zurich, Washington, New York, Frutillar, and Santiago de Chile; back in Europe in Salzburg; and, since 2021, once again in Berlin. He is dedicated to the personalised management of select projects of various kinds in the international cultural sector.

Uli Bader is the editor of the book “Jawoll!! – in memoriam Wolfgang Boettcher” (Ries&Erler, Berlin 2022)
